Philip Chin
Chief Executive Officer, Member Global Management Board
Phil joined Champion in 1986. In his previous career he worked in numerous key positions in the photofinishing industry in quality control management, production management and was the plant manager of a large Canadian wholesale photofinisher. Phil relocated to Kuala Lumpur in 1991, where he assumed responsibility as General Manager for Asia. In 2002, Phil returned to Canada as the Chief Operating Officer Champion. Subsequently he redeployed Asia as President Champion Brand worldwide. He is also a member of the Global Management Board.
R. Fraser Mason
Chairman Global Management Board
Fraser joined Champion as a partner in 1981. With over 40 years’ experience on a global scale in the business consulting/financial arena, he is the former Chairman of Ernst & Young Consulting, Canada. He has had extensive international experience in arranging the purchase, sale and financing of businesses in a wide variety of industries. After retiring from Ernst & Young, Fraser became CEO and has been instrumental in corporate and business development initiatives world-wide in addition to chairing the Global Management Board
Peter Newton
President and Founder, Member Global Management Board
Peter founded Champion in 1978. With over 40 years’ experience in the imaging business, he has broad experience in photochemical manufacturing, international marketing, and general management. He is a senior member of the corporate development team and an active member of the Global Management Board.
Rae Finlayson
Global Vice President Sourcing, Member Global Management Board
Rae joined Champion in 1980. He has responsibility for worldwide supplier relationships and purchasing of ink jet product components. For a number of years, he was Operations Manager Americas. In 1987 Rae was instrumental in launching Champion in the United Kingdom. In 2006 he moved to France and Spain as Global Vice President of Champion operations of the day in those countries. He is also a member of the Global Management Board.
Ian French
Global Research & Development Director
Ian joined Champion in 1991 as Quality Manager and was responsible for all QC and QA at the UK manufacturing site. In 2008 he became Research & Development Manager for the group and expanded his responsibility to Global R&D for inkjet in 2013.
